Quantum specializes in the design, installation, integration and maintenance of physical security systems and access control technology for public utilities.
Our systems have been utilized in electrical substations, office and support facilities, and liquid natural gas plants for multiple utilities including Commonwealth Edison Company, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Potomac Electric Power Company, Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power and Light, and People’s Gas.
Our staff of technicians and engineers are certified in various security technology platforms, as well as Microwave and Laser Intrusion Detection solutions. We also provide thermography systems design, installation and monitoring. In addition, all on-site technicians are PERC Certified.
Public Safety & Security
Quantum participated in the construction of a unified municipal surveillance system for the City of Chicago in a project called Operation Virtual Shield. Our role included the installation of outdoor pole-mounted camera systems and fiber optic cable in the city’s central business district. Additional cameras were later installed along Chicago’s lakefront.
We currently provide maintenance services for the City owned camera network, including those connected via fiber optic and wireless links. Quantum has also partnered with the City of Aurora to install new IP camera systems and access control technology for multiple municipal facilities.
Health Care
Our team specializes in the areas of electrical and low voltage system installation, electrical demolition and construction. We also install fire alarm systems for hospitals and emergency departments. We are experienced in complying with the exacting and specialized work requirements of these clients.
Corporate
Quantum Crossings designs, installs, integrates and maintains video and security systems for a variety of corporate clients. We provide turn-key solutions for diverse technology projects, including requirements gathering, system design, planning, installation, configuration as well as ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
Transportation
Our team has installed communications and technology upgrades such as IP camera systems, new communication hubs and network switches, public address systems, digital signage as well as fiber optic and copper cabling throughout the facilities, rapid transit stations, bus garages and rail maintenance locations of the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).
We also provide full service, around the clock maintenance technicians and systems specialists to provide maximum camera up time and expeditious retrieval of video recordings for the system’s 6000+ cameras.
In addition, Quantum provides field technician and electrical maintenance services to Siemens for their contract with the City of Chicago’s Department of Aviation to maintain the Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Fire Alarm systems at O’Hare International Airport.
Water Treatment
Quantum performs electrical installations, upgrades as well as inspection and maintenance related services on the gate actuators for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District’s extensive tunnel and Reservoir (TARP) System. We inspect and maintain the control chambers and tide monitoring systems at over 200 locations. Quantum also verifies that telemetry is operational, and performs manual exercise of the equipment.
